(PHOENIX, ARIZ. -- May 18, 2021) It's time to dust off your hats and cowboy boots and get ready to enjoy a night of country music and fun in support of Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels at The Dubliner Irish Pub on Saturday, May 29th. This special benefit concert featuring the North2South Band will support Arizona kids fighting cancer with a portion of proceeds going towards the Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels program that provides resources and financial support for families of kids fighting cancer and provides specialty apparel designed specifically for chemo patients to children receiving the treatments all over the world.
"After a year off from live events, we are thrilled to bring our community of donors and supporters together for this special evening," said Lorraine Tallman, Founder of the Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels. "We are so grateful for the incredible community support we have sustained this past year, which has allowed us to help hundreds of families dealing with childhood cancer," she said. "This event is a thank you for our gracious long-term donors and a welcome for our new supporters and friends," she said.
Amanda Hope Rainbow Angels is an Arizona-based nonprofit, support and educational organization designated by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible, tax-exempt organization, founded in 2012 in celebration of Amanda Hope’s life. During her three-year fight with leukemia and nine-month battle with a brain tumor, Amanda Hope dreamed that one day she would design a fun clothing line for kids just like her that would provide comfort and dignity during chemo treatments. Amanda's life ended all too soon but her dream lives on through our Comfycozy's for Chemo apparel and her legacy continues with our expansion of programs and services.
Hailing from the Nashville, the birthplace of country music, North2South is among the most up-and-coming and in-demand country acts in music today. Frontman Dave Andrews is American Country Singer and Artist who many years on the road, opening for countless artists across the country, and most recently formed the unique country sound of North2South. After briefly stepping away from music in 2005 when his brother was killed in the line of duty, Andrews generated his smash hit 'Boys in Blue' to honor those who protect and serve. Upon his return to the music scene in 2008, Dave Andrews once again captivated the eyes of Music City USA as a well-known Artist. North2South Band was formed in 2017 and they have made their stamp on country music as being one of the bands to stand and represent the greats of country music, covering hits from country legends of the 90’s to early 2000’s.
Like Madonna, one-name Comedian Terrijean needs no introduction. The stand up comedy star will open the evening's entertainment with plenty of laughs for a great cause.
"We are just so thrilled to have the opportunity to gather together with our friends and amazing supporters who made it possible for us to serve the families of children suffering from childhood cancer this past year," Tallman said. "Country For a Cause 2021 will be a celebration of hope and mark an important milestone in our ongoing mission to fight childhood cancer," Tallman said.
