Key issues for the December 2023 election include addressing egregious government corruption, theft and wasteful spending that plagues the existing government regime, enacting child labor protections and safe labor protections for all workers, expanding access to healthcare, transforming education, and most critically addressing immediate needs for food, clean water, shelter and basic supplies. The DR Congo has been among the most impoverished nations in the world for the better half of the last century. Nearly 62% of Congolese, around 60 million people, live on less than $2.15 a day.
Dr. Mudekereza's candidacy serves as a testament to the power of grassroots movements and the people's desire for transformative change. As he embarks on this pivotal journey, Dr. Mudekereza carries with him the aspirations of millions, the weight of history, and an unwavering commitment to lead the DR Congo towards a prosperous and harmonious future.
